Life and career
Steve Smart began mastering for Studios 301 in 1991.[1] Prior to this, Smart had worked at the then CBS Records (which later became Sony Music).[2] Whilst at CBS Records, Smart cut vinyl for the Australian releases of many renowned artists, including Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, and Faith No More.[2] Since his move to Studios 301, he has mastered recordings for many artists, and is adept in mastering specifically for vinyl.[1] Smart is highly regarded in his field, and his portfolio includes many award winning recordings.[1]
