Stephen P. Boyd is an American professor and control theorist. He is currently the Samsung Professor of Engineering, and Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Information Systems Laboratory at Stanford University. He received an AB degree in Mathematics, summa cum laude, from Harvard University in 1980, and a PhD in EECS from U. C. Berkeley in 1985.
He has received several awards such as IEEE Control Systems Award. He is an IEEE Fellow.
