Stephen Gause
Stephen Gause is originally from Columbia, South Carolina, but has lived in Nashville, Tennessee since August 1993. He came to Nashville originally to attend Belmont University where he earned a degree in commercial music with emphasis in performance and production. Since then Stephen has worked in various aspects of the music business most notably as a producer, engineer, and songwriter. He still lives and works in Nashville as a home base with his wife and twin daughters. His wife, Kara is a schoolteacher, an artist, and a writer.[1]
Career
In 1997, Gause completed a degree in Commercial Music at Belmont University with an emphasis in performance and production engineering.[1] This has led him to work with major label artists and independent artists, and since 2001, he has been producing in Nashville, Tennessee.[1][2]
Gause has also been involved in songwriting,[3] and has released two solo projects. The first was Bury Me, which was released in 1997, and the second was Beautiful Time, which was released in early 2000.[4] Between 1997 to 2004, he toured with artists such as Jars of Clay, Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Ginny Owens and Silers Bald. During these tours, Gause was either a touring artist or took on the roles as monitor engineer, FOH engineer, technician, road manager, or merchandise guy.
