Stephen Coronel is a guitarist and former member of the rock band Wicked Lester. He has been a friend of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons since 1963.

Biography

Coronel created the riff and chord structure of "She" and "Goin' Blind", co-authoring the songs with Simmons. A former member of The Long Island Sounds (with Seth Dogramajian), Bullfrog Bheer, Tree (with Paul Stanley), Cathedral, Coffee, Rainbow (unrelated to the Ritchie Blackmore band of the same name) and Wicked Lester,[1] he introduced Gene Klein to Stan Eisen in Steve's Washington Heights apartment. Wicked Lester later became Kiss, when Simmons and Stanley decided to start a new band. Coronel then formed the band Lover. He continues to work with music and also design. He has done for instance showrooms and expos for clients such as Canon Inc. in 2010.


Legal Problems

On Friday, September 26, 2014, Coronel was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor following a search of his Plantation Pointe apartment, Sgt. Robin McIntosh of the Beaufort County (SC) Sheriff's Office said.Deputies seized a number of electronic devices and other evidence, McIntosh said. Additional details were not available Friday, McIntosh said, citing the pending forensic analysis of evidence. The investigation began when the U.S. Department of Justice's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force determined child pornography had been uploaded from a home in Bluffton, McIntosh said. The task force and Sheriff's Office tracked the material to Coronel's home.
