Step Up 2: The Streets is the film soundtrack album from the motion picture Step Up 2: The Streets. It was released February 5, 2008 by Atlantic Records.
The album debuted at number thirteen on the U.S. Billboard 200, and peaked at #5 two weeks later. The album also reached #4 on the U.S. Rap Albums Charts. It has also peaked at #3 on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart.[3]
The album featured the #1 hit single "Low", by rapper Flo Rida and Auto-Tune-using hip-hop and R&B artist T-Pain. The song's huge success as a single also helped to drive the Step Up 2: The Streets soundtrack into the U.S. top five. The soundtrack featured two other successful singles, a remix of the U.S. top twenty "Can't Help But Wait", by Trey Songz featuring rapper Plies, and another successful rap single, reaching #14 in the U.S., "Hypnotized", by rapper Plies and R&B singer Akon.
