Stemonoporus canaliculatus is a species of plant in the Dipterocarpaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
elliptic-lanceolate, cuneate base, tapering apex, lateral veins 11-20, arched, forming looped intermarginal vein, intercostals raised below, reticulate.
Trunk
stems often flop over, layering at base.
Flowers
solitary, axillary.
Fruits
globose, subacute, thick corky fibrous pericarp, short calyx lobes, no wings.
Ecology
rain forest understory, thin skeletal soils.
