Starmont High School
Coordinates: 42°41′20″N 91°38′53″W / 42.689°N 91.648°W Starmont Community School District is a high school located 5 miles south of Arlington, Iowa and six miles north of Lamont, Iowa, on a very large tract of land in Maryville at the intersection of Highway 187 and Highway 3. The principal and superintendent of the high school is Matt O'Loughlin, and the elementary and middle school principal is Mrs. Sandy Klaus.

The English department gained recognition for teaching students an innovative new technique of "unwriting" that pushed their creativity to a new level.
Chris Soules, a 2000 Starmont graduate, went on to become fame on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor.
