Staré Hobzí is a small city and municipality (obec) in Jindřichův Hradec District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 24.69 square kilometres (9.53 sq mi), and has a population of 587 (as at 3 July 2006).
Staré Hobzí lies approximately 37 kilometres (23 mi) south-east of Jindřichův Hradec, 72 km (45 mi) east of České Budějovice, and 142 km (88 mi) south-east of Prague.
