Standish is an unincorporated community in Lassen County, California.[1] It is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) southwest of Litchfield,[2] at an elevation of 4049 feet (1234 m).[1]
Standish is the north terminus of the County route A3 (Standish Buntingville Road) and the junction with U.S. Route 395.
Standish Hall is a registered historic place.
The community was laid out in 1897.[2] The post office opened in 1899, having been transferred from Datura.[2] The name honors Miles Standish.[2]

Climate
This region experiences warm (but not hot) and dry summers, with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 °F. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Standish has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, abbreviated "Csb" on climate maps.[3]
