St Helens Cricket Club
St Helens Cricket Club is an English amateur cricket club based in St Helens, Merseyside. The club was formed in 1843, making it one of the oldest clubs in Lancashire, the club plays its home games on Windleshaw Road Cricket Ground, Dentons Green, St Helens.
The club has 3 senior sides playing in the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition. The 1st XI narrowly missed promotion in 2010 to the 1st division and will still play in the newly formed Second division of this competition in 2011. The 2nd XI won promotion in 2010 and will be playing in the 1st division of the LDCC on a Saturday. The 3rd XI play on a Sunday, in the 3rd XI Sunday premier division after gaining promotion in 2009.
The 2nd and 3rd XI have new captains for the 2011 season.
The club folded as a cricket club before the start of the 2012 season and resigned from the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition.
