St. Paul College, Pasig is a Catholic institution for young girls which aims to provide an integral Christian formation for its learners. Specifically, it envisions students to grow up to be spiritually-morally grounded, academically competent, and socially responsible individuals who can be living witnesses of Christ in the service of family, country, and the Church.[1] It is located at Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City, Philippines.

History

The Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres first arrived in the Philippines on October 29, 1904 upon the invitation of Bishop Frederick Rooker of Jaro, Iloilo to open a school in Dumaguete for the "protection of faith". Other invitations followed and more Sisters arrived for a hospital in Iloilo, schools in Vigan, Tuguegarao, and Manila, and a Leprosarium in Culion.

The Congregation is now serving forty schools all over the Philippines aside from hospitals and pastoral communities.[2]

Academic Program

Overview[11]

St. Paul College, Pasig strongly believe in lifelong learning and integrated development, thus, it promotes the acquisition of knowledge and competencies that will prepare each pupil for the rapidly changing 21st Century world. The school creates a learning culture by providing a supportive environment through engaging learning experiences, collaborative teachers, effective leaders, accessible educational and technological facilities, and involved families.

The goals and objectives are aligned with the vision-mission of the school, the Minimum Learning Competencies of the K to 12 Program as defined by the Department of Education, and are further enriched by the infusion of current local and global issues and concerns on the environment. The school also considers different levels of learning: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective in planning and designing the learning experiences of students. Classroom delivery is designed with conscious effort in order to tap into the students' dominant learning styles and to hone their Multiple Intelligences to effectively address their learning needs. All curricular experience on and off campus are directed towards the achievement of an SPCP envisioned graduate or more specifically towards our stated objectives.
