St. Kabir Public School was established in 1974 in Sector 8 Chandigarh, India. Its motto is Labor Omnia Vincit. In 1991, it shifted to its current facility in Sector 26 Chandigarh. It is a school which teaches the students to deal with the world efficiently, and with confidence. It was rated as the seventh best school in Chandigarh after St. Stephens, Vivek High School, Govt Model Sector 10 & 16, St. John's and St Anne's.

It has biology, chemistry and physics laboratories and a library with internet facilities.

Academics

The school is affiliated with CBSE board . The school students will be giving the board exam of CBSE for the first time in the year 2013. This is a new chapter for the institution.

Annual Shows

Every year the school celebrates its annual show function. It includes musicals, ground shows, project displays and much more. Recently the musical " Oliver!" had taken place in the school.Now in the year 2012 a ground show will be held. In the year 2013 a project display was held for classes 1-7 and class 9 performed a play ' My Fair Lady' at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh. in year 2014, class 9 performed "the phantom of the opera", sector-18, chd.

Achievements

The school actively participates in various inter school competitions, and even organizes inter house competitions. Recently 2 students from the school attended the Summer Studies Program organized by Duke Universities, the TIP program in the well known Infosys Mysore Campus.The children even excel in various national and international Olympiads .

Campus facilities

The school has an attractive campus. The gardens are well laid out and are maintained properly. The classes are spacious and well ventilated. The computer laboratory is provided with air conditioner facility.The school is active in TERI activities and every year an ambassador is chosen from the school.
