St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center is a part of St. Joseph's Healthcare System,[1] and is located in Paterson, New Jersey. The main hospital campus is at 703 Main Street in South Paterson and is one of the largest hospitals in the area. In 2014, construction began on a 17-story hotel Medical Missions for Children on the hospital campus,[2] the oldest building of which was built in 1928.[3]

The hospital was founded in 1867 and is currently sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth.[4]

St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center is part of the St. Joseph's Healthcare System, which encompasses four operations: St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, and St. Vincent's Nursing Home. The children's hospital is a wing of the Regional Medical Center in Paterson. The Wayne hospital, located off of Hamburg Turnpike, was formerly Wayne General Hospital until the St. Joseph's Healthcare System took it over in 2001. St. Vincent's Nursing Home is a senior-care facility located in Cedar Grove.[5]
