About
The St. Gregory Luxury Hotels & Suites was built in 1999,[4] and opened in June 2000.[5] Guests have included heads of state, business executives, performers and artists. The boutique hotel has an AAA 4-diamond rating.[2] It is located in Downtown Washington, D.C., located at 2033 M Street Northwest Washington, D.C. 20036.[3] Of the 154 standard rooms, there are 54 deluxe rooms.[5] There are 100 suites, 85 of which have pantry kitchens, and 16 of which are on the top floor.[1]
In 2006 the Marilyn Monroe statue was removed for a short period of time, while it was being restored.[6] It was later added back to the hotel lobby three months later.[6] The hotel was given a $3 million renovation in 2006-2007.[1][7] As of 2000, a branch of the Donna's Cafe and Coffee Bar was located in the hotel.[8]
