Srinivas Avasarala is an Indian film director, screenwriter, dialogue writer and actor known for his works in Telugu cinema.[1] Srinivas holds a screenwriting diploma from University of California, Los Angeles and then took acting classes for a year at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York City. He did some theatre in New York and then worked as an assistant director for a film called Blind Ambition. He also worked at the Universal Studios as a script screener.[2]
Srinivas holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Finite Element Analysis and worked for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.[3]
He made his debut in the film Ashta Chamma. He helped in writing few scenes in the film.[4] He has worked in many Telugu films including Mugguru, Pilla Zamindar, Vara Prasad Potti Prasad. He then directed a Telugu romantic-comedy, Oohalu Gusagusalade, with Naga Shourya as the lead.[5]
