Srimurali (Kannada: ಶ್ರೀಮುರಳಿ; born 17 December 1981),[1] also known by names Murali or Sriimurali,[2] is a Kannada film actor who acted in movies such as Chandra Chakori, Kanti, Chanda Banda, and others. He also acted in a Telugu film Yagna and a Malayalam film Mangalapuram.[3][4] His major break came in 2014 released film Ugramm.
Personal life
Srimurali is the son of Kannada film producer S. A. Chinne Gowda and younger brother of actor Vijay Raghavendra. He married Vidya, his girlfriend and daughter of hotelier Ramesh, on May 11, 2008.[3][5][6]
Career
Srimurali debuted in films with Chandra Chakori in 2003, which was a hit. He then appeared in films like Kanti, Yashwant and Preethigaagi which did not perform at the box-office. In 2008, he appeared in Minchina Ota produced by his father, alongwith his brother Vijay Raghavendra.[3][4][4] He also takes care of production responsibilities of his family banner Sowbhagya Pictures, under which several films produced by his father were made such as Sevanthi Sevanthi and Ganesha Mathe Bandha.[7]
His first release of 2014 was Ugramm, an action-drama film in which he played the role of Agastya, a mechanic who helps Nithya (played by Haripriya) from being caught alive by goons. The film received positive reviews from critics and his performance was praised.[2][8]
