Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology
Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology is an autonomous institution at Sugunapuram near Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore, India. The college was started in 1998, with 180 students, 18 staff and offered four courses in the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). Qualifications are conferred by Anna University.
In a short time, the college has grown in size and stature and has at present more than 2500 students are studying in six branches of B.E., MCA., M.Sc. Applied Science (Software Engineering), M.Sc. Applied Sciences (Computer Technology), Master of Business Administration, B.Sc. Applied Sciences in Information Technology and Computer Technology. To meet the rise in the student body, the faculty strength has risen to more than 200. There is a good team of supporting staff to assist the departmental work.
The college has carved a niche amongst the public, AICTE, DOTE and the University. Students have been placed in companies like HCL, Cognizant, Xansa, L&T, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Igate, Oracle, Huawei, etc.
Campus
Set amid abundant sylvan surroundings, about 8 km from the city of Coimbatore, the campus provides an ambiance that stimulates intellectual thinking and academic interaction. The facilities include classrooms with multimedia equipment/overhead projectors, faculty and administrative blocks, a state-of-the-art library, modern computer labs, and a three-storey student residence.
Infrastructure
- More than 5 lakh sq.ft. of instructional area in classrooms and laboratories.
- 20 state-of-the-art computer laboratories with 1,200 terminals.
- 8 Mbit/s (1:1) leased line internet connectivity; all the systems in the campus are networked. Wi-fi access is enabled all over the campus.
- 2 Mbit/s dedicated VPN connectivity between the college and Anna University, Coimbatore.
- 55,000 sq.ft. of fully air conditioned central library block with more than 41,392 volumes of books and 1,000 periodicals that include journals/magazines of learned societies of international/national reputation. Access to all the e-journals and e-books is enabled through intranet.
- A fully air conditioned Sri Krishna Hall - multipurpose auditorium/indoor sports complex with a seating capacity of 2,000 with indoor games facility
- An open-air theater with a seating capacity of 1,000[1]
- Highly hygienic and spacious Food Court consisting of Shree Anandhaas.
