Spring Break '83 is a Mars Callahan and Scott Spiegel–directed comedy.[1] To date it has still not been released.
Plot
Four friends who were bullied by their graduating high school class seek revenge against the now freshman college students while on Spring break during 1983.
Production
Spring Break '83 was filmed primarily in Louisiana during October and November 2007. Near the end of scheduled production, filming was shut down by actor and crew unions because Big Sky Motion Pictures had not paid them, and did not have the funds to cover payroll.[2]
In January 2009, Big Sky Motion Pictures hosted a private party in Park City, Utah—while the 2009 Sundance Film Festival was also in Park City—showing a teaser of Spring Break '83. Additional filming took place in Los Angeles in March 2009.[3]
Circa December 2009, Big Sky Motion Pictures announced "that the directors edit of Spring Break '83 is now locked and the completion of the post production phase is coming soon. An official release of Spring Break '83 was targeted for early Spring 2010. The film has still not been released. [4]
