Southtown Center
Southtown Center is a shopping mall that is half outside, and half inside. This shopping mall competes with the Mall of America, which is about three miles away.
History
Southtown Center opened in 1960[1] with a Montgomery Ward department store. In the late 1990s, the store closed and was replaced with a Herberger's and a Toys R Us store. The mall also holds an 48 lane AMF bowling alley.[2]
