The Southern Suns are a nationally competing women's field hockey team based in South Australia.[1] The Southern Suns won the Australian Hockey League in 2011, defeating the NSW Arrows 1-0 in the final.[2]
It is the first time the Suns have lifted the trophy in 16 years. The Suns line-up includes Hockeyroo members Bianca Greenshields, Holly Evans, Georgie Parker and Elise Stacy. The Suns are coached by ex Kookaburra Craig Victory.
