The Southern Miss Golden Eagles is a softball team that reformed in 1999, based at the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, United States.

Since reforming, the Lady Eagles have gone to two Women's College World Series games and made three consecutive postseason appearances. Since that time, the team has also won three Conference USA Championships as well as putting out three All-Americans with Courtney Blades, Amy Berman and Auriel Jenkins.[2] During Courtney Blades' time at Southern Miss, she had set many NCAA Women's softball records (including strikeouts in a season). Although many of her records such as strikeouts in a season[3] have fallen, some still remain standing.
