South Kolkata has many old educational institutions like Ashutosh College, Jadavpur University, IPGMER, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Ramkrishna Mission Residential College Narendrapur, Lady Brabourne College and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
