South Haleyville is a small poverty line Unincorporated community of Haleyville, Alabama. Most of Haleyville's industry is in this community. Much of South Haleyville lies in the parts of Haleyville that exist across the county line into Marion County.
Although it is colloquially named "South Haleyville," its physical location is actually on the western fringes of the city limits. Many of the homes in this community are in states of disrepair, and much of the thick, wooded vegetation is overgrown. Several tracts of land are unkempt and overrun by vegetation. Although most of the community is poverty line, there exist several nice, middle-class homes.
