South Forsyth High School is a public high school, built in 1989, located in Cumming, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. It is 1 of 5 high schools in the Forsyth County School District, and serves students residing in parts of Cumming, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Suwanee. In 2010, South Forsyth High School was ranked #199 on Newsweek's "Top High Schools in America" publication.
Athletics
South Forsyth currently competes in Region 6-AAAAAA and has since 2012.[1][2] SFHS has 21 varsity sports for boys and girls. The school fields junior varsity teams for most sports and freshmen teams in football and volleyball. The school is a member of the Georgia High School Association.
The school has won state championships in competition cheerleading in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and Men's Quartet in 2009.[3][4]
Advanced Studies
South Forsyth provides students with a more challenging curriculum by offering Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and Gifted Education classes.[5]
Clubs and organizations
South Forsyth has over thirty organizations covering a wide variety of interests, including FCCLA, Math team, Model UN, International Thespian Society, TSA, and the world's largest DECA chapter, after Clements High School. In the 2011 & 2012 school years, the South Forsyth's Vex Robotics Teams earned enough wins to qualify for the Vex Robotics World Championship, hosted in Orlando and Anaheim, respectively.

Students are drawn from Piney Grove Middle School, Lakeside Middle School, and South Forsyth Middle School. South currently serves students in grades 9-12.
