The South Center School House is a historic one-room school house on Washington Mountain Road in Washington, Massachusetts. The school was built in 1880 at the site of the town's first school for $300. Washington's population was in a period of decline through the turn of the century, and the school closed in 1922. It was restored by the local historic commission in the 1970s,[2] and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[1]
