The South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) is a professional association of accountants based in South Africa. The institute had more than 6000 members as of 2011.[1]

Qualification

SAIPA is the leading Professional Accountancy institute in South Africa for the suitably qualified Professional Accountant(SA). The Professional Accountant(SA) performs a wide range of accounting and tax related services and is regarded as the business advisor to the SME ( Small Medium Enterprise)offering tailored advice on business challenges and creating opportunities of business success for their clients .[2]

Associated organizations

SAIPA is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and of the Eastern Central and Southern African Federation of Accountants.[4][5] SAIPA is also an institutional member of the International Association for Accounting Education & Research (IAAER).[6] SAIPA members are eligible for membership of the Institute of Accounting and Commerce.[7]
