Soulful Old Man Sunshine

"Soulful Old Man Sunshine" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Rick Henn for the American rock band The Beach Boys. The song was recorded on November 6th & 9th, 1969, during the Sunflower sessions and but was not released until 1998 when it appeared on the band's anthology album, the Endless Harmony Soundtrack.[1]

A cover version by Manfred Schmidt was released on the 1992 Beach Boys tribute album In My Room.[2]

Trivia

The song is notable as about 2:09 Carl Wilson appears to sing "Shunshine" instead of "Sunshine". Wilson was said to have vetoed the song's inclusion from the 1993 Good Vibrations: Thirty Years of The Beach Boys box set due to this flub; the song was only released after his death.
