Sophie Deraspe (born October 27, 1973 in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec) is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. She is best known for her 2015 documentary The Amina Profile,[1] an exploration of the Amina Abdallah Arraf al Omari hoax of 2011.

She has also released the narrative feature films Rechercher Victor Pellerin (Missing Victor Pellerin) in 2006,[2] Les Signes vitaux (Vital Signs) in 2009[3] and Les Loups (The Wolves) in 2015.[4] At the Whistler Film Festival in 2009, she won the Borsos Prize for best new Canadian feature film, for Les signes vitaux.[3]
