The Sony Alpha ILCE-3000, also known as the Sony Alpha a3000, Sony Alpha 3000 and similar names, is a DSLR-styled mirrorless camera announced by Sony on August 27, 2013. This was the first camera introduced in Sony's newly rebranded "ILCE" range, and as of August 2014 remains the only SLR-styled one to have become available. In Australia, Mexico, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa it was replaced in March 2014 with the Sony Alpha ILCE-3500, which is identical but sold with a cheaper kit lens.[1]
