Sonay Adem

Sonay Adem (born 1957 in Paphos) was the Minister for Labor and Social Security in the self-declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus(TRNC) government under Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.[1] He was confirmed in his office (in the 20th TRNC Government) in April 2005. He is a member of the Republican Turkish Party.[2] He has done extensive work on curbing illegal immigration to the island, as well as immigration reform, in conjunction with organisations such as the Union of Construction Sector Contractors.[3]

In 2006, he was sent to hospital after suffering heart problems during a parliamentary session.[4]
