"Some" (Hangul: 썸) is a song by South Korean singer Soyou and hip-hop singer Jung GiGo. It was released online as a digital single on February 7, 2014 through Starship Entertainment.[1]

Release

Soyou and Jung GiGo released their song "Some" on February 7, along with a music video. "Some" is a medium tempo song, composed by Kim Do Hoon and written by Min Yeon Jae. The song features the hip-hop duo Lil Boi of Geeks. The music video is directed by Zany Bros and stars B1A4's Baro and Soyou's bandmate Kim Dasom.

Soyou & Jung GiGo had their debut stage on Mnet's M! Countdown on February 6, 2014.[2] The duo also performed "Some" on various music shows such as 'Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo in February and March.

The song also received numerous first place award in various music show broadcasts, five times wins in KBS Music Bank (February 21, 28, March 7, 21 and April 4), Double Crown in Mnet's M! Countdown (February 20, 27) and in MBC Music Core (February 22 and March 1) and a single win in SBS Inkigayo (February 23) and MBC Music Show Champion (February 19).

Chart performance

The song debuted at number 1 for two weeks on South Korea's Gaon Singles Chart.The song was also number 1 on for six weeks on Korea K-Pop Hot 100. The feat makes the smooth R&B track the tally's longest-running chart topper of 2014.[3]
