Solomon Christoffel Obeyesekere

Sir Solomon Christoffel Obeyesekere (12 February 1848 - 13 October 1927) was Ceylonese legislator. He was appointed as a Sinhalese member of the Legislative Council of Ceylon (1900-1916).[1]

Born to Don Bastian Ferdinandus Wijesiri Guneratne Obeyesekere, Mudaliyar of Talpepattu and Cornelia Susanna Dias Bandaranaike, he was educated at S. Thomas' College, Mutwal and qualified as a proctor. He was knighted 1911. His brother was Sir James Peter Obeyesekere I, Head Mudaliyar.

He married Ezline Maria de Alwis. His children include; F. A. Obeyesekere, Member of the State Council; Daisy Ezline Obeyesekere who married Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranaike and Ethel Mildred Obeyesekere who married Dr William Christoffel Pieris Siriwardene.
