Soini Mikael Nikkinen (July 19, 1923 – June 2, 2012) was a Finnish javelin thrower.[1] He was born in Kiuruvesi.
Nikkinen won bronze in javelin in the 1954 European Championships in Athletics. In the 1948 Summer Olympics, he placed 12th, and took 8th place in Helsinki four years later.
On June 24, 1956, Nikkinen threw a new world record of 83,56, which lasted for only six days before being surpassed by Janusz Sidło of Poland.
