Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah is a luxury hotel situated on the southern tip of Gezira Island in the Nile, in the Zamalek district just west of Downtown Cairo, Egypt. It is owned by Sofitel Luxury Hotels, a chain of hotels managed by France based Accor Hospitality.

The hotel was built as the El Gezirah Sheraton Hotel & Towers in 1984. It was fully renovated by famous hotel and restaurant interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon and re-opened in September 2007. Since then, the hotel has won several awards like Star Diamond Award, Best 5 star new hotel in MENA, etc.

The hotel is best known for its spectacular Nile views and its variety of food and beverage outlets, most famous being Kebabgy, Le Deck and the world renowned Buddha Bar. The hotel also has a Casino managed by famous Groupe Lucien Barrière. The outdoor heated infinity pool gives a feeling of swimming into the Nile. The hotel also has a Spa.

Major tourist attractions, such as the Cairo Tower, El Sawy culturewheel Centre, Cairo Opera House, Museum of Islamic Ceramics, and famous restaurants are in close proximity of the hotel.
