Sofie Ølgaard
Sofie Ølgaard is a Danish clothing designer who draws inspiration from her Scandinavian roots where she creates a look based on the melancholic side of Scandinavian culture combined with playful esthetics. Her style is founded in complicated silhouettes and understated detail. Her color palette is minimal, muted tones of taupe, grays and blacks with the occasional dusting of pink and blue.
Background
Sofie Ølgaard grew up in Denmark and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Women's Wear at the London College of Fashion in the UK. She received acclaim for her ability to turn the utilitarian style of men’s clothing into beautifully crafted clothing for women. Upon graduation she moved to the States and continued with her commitment of self-expression by starting a clothing line.
