Sofiane Hanni (born 29 December 1990) is an Algerian football player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League.

Club career

Hanni made his professional debut on 1 December 2009 in a league match against Sedan.[1] On 11 June 2010, he was slated to sign a one-year contract with hometown club Paris Saint-Germain.[2] However, a week later, it was announced that Hanni would not be joining the club due to a disagreement between the club and the player's father.[3]

International career

In November 2009, Hanni, a former France youth international announced his intent to represent Algeria on international level, though he is still currently eligible to play for France.[4][5][6]
