The Socorro parakeet (Psittacara brevipes) is a species of parrot. It is considered by many to be a distinct species, although some taxonomists still consider it to be a subspecies of the green parakeet (Psittacara holochlorus). It is endemic to Socorro Island in the Revillagigedo Islands, Mexico. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss due to feral sheep and predation by feral cats.
