Society for the Protection of Unborn Children

Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) is a pro-life organisation in the United Kingdom which opposes abortion, assisted suicide, some forms of birth control and same-sex marriage.[1][2]

Public statements

In 2008, it paid tribute to Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, on the occasion of the Cardinal's death.[3]

Tony Nicklinson right-to-die case

SPUC opposed locked-in syndrome sufferer Tony Nicklinson's legal battle for a right to assisted death.[4][5]

Marriage

SPUC opposes same-sex marriage.[6][7][8]
