Sobhan (died January 6, 2008) was a Telugu director best known as director of the hit movie Varsham. Sobhan suffered a heart attack at Bhoomika Chawla's house and when she and her husband took him to hospital he died.

Career

I always wanted to be a part of the film industry. I went to Chennai on this mission in 1989. I worked for a film called Rowdyism, which was stalled after 10days of shooting. I then joined Ram Gopal Varma as a co director for Anaganaga Oka Roju. Later I started my profession as a writer for Krishna Vamsi's film Sindhuram and also worked with him for Murari, and also acted in films like Kshana Kshanam, Oka Raju Oka Rani. During the making of Murari I was in touch with Mahesh Babu and that lead to the film Bobby.[1] Shoban was known for his able hand in scripting. He helped many directors during the script sessions of many super hit films.

Death

Sobhan suffered with cardiac arrest. Bhumika and her husband Bharath Takur immediately rushed him to Image Hospitals in Madhapur. Doctors declared he was brought dead.[2] He was 40. He is survived by a wife Soujanya and two sons. Before his death, his Kannada film, Mayoora, with Puneeth Rajkumar as the hero was recently launched.[3] His brother and comedian Lakshmipathi too died at that year.[4]
