The Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is a casino, hotel and entertainment venue owned and operated by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, located just outside of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
The casino offers a typical selection of pit and table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, 3 card poker and Let It Ride with betting limits ranging from $5–$1000. In addition to slot machines in the main casino, there is an additional gaming hall called the "Slot Palace" located across the street from the main resort, where Bingo, Keno, and additional slot machines are available.
Soaring Eagle also features an 18 table poker room, open 24 hours a day, which spreads popular games such as Texas Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, and Omaha Hi-Lo, with limits ranging from $3/$6 to $10/$20 for limit poker and $1/$2 for no limit poker. The poker room also introduced a bad beat jackpot. Texas Hold 'Em tournaments run weekly, ranging from $0 to $150 entry fee.
The legal age to gamble in the casino is 18 years old; however, the drinking age is still 21 and is strictly enforced. The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe lowered the entry age limit so that younger people could enter and watch the concerts and shows that go on throughout the year, in addition, the proximity to college campuses in the area adds a new audience to the casino. The casino also offers a arcade for children called CyberQuest as well as a daycare center.
Soaring Eagle's 3,200-seat concert hall is currently the sixth-largest auditorium in Michigan, and many acts who have performed here have also played, in the same tours that have visited Mount Pleasant, three of the largest auditorium in the state, those being the Fox Theatre in Detroit, MSU Auditorium in East Lansing and Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
