Snohetta Dome

Snohetta Dome (72°11′S 2°48′W / 72.183°S 2.800°WCoordinates: 72°11′S 2°48′W / 72.183°S 2.800°W) is a dome-shaped elevation which is snow-covered except for a few rock exposures, situated 3 nautical miles (6 km) east of Hornet Peak in the Ahlmann Ridge of Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59) and named Snohetta (the snow cap).
