SAM (Smart Approaches to Marijuana) is an anti marijuana-legalization group, led by former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy, Kevin Sabet, and conservative columnist David Frum.[1][2]
S.A.M. is a group of bipartisan professionals working in mental and public health. The nonprofit organization consists of medical doctors, lawmakers, treatment providers, preventionists, teachers, law enforcement officers, and others who seek a middle road between incarceration and legalization. SAM is an alliance of organizations and individuals who claim to be dedicated to a health-first approach to marijuana policy.[3]
