Slugfest is one of the cassette minions of Soundwave. He is slow and stupid. He is armed with two solar powered vibro cannons.
Reception
According to X-Entertainment Slugfest had one of the worst tech spec biographies and looked like a sandwich.[1]
Animated series
Slugfest and Overkill made brief cameos in the season 3 episode "Call of the Primitives."
Headmasters Manga
Slugfest appeared among Soundblaster's minions in the Headmasters manga #8. In this story Soundblaster remained behind on Earth after the other Decepticons left and he uses Slugfest and Overkill to take Spike, Carly and Daniel Witwicky hostage in his fight against Chromedome. Daniel was able to blind Slugfest and get him to attack Overkill as Chromedome defeated Soundblaster.[2]

Slugfest was featured in a biography in Dreamwave Productions More Than Meets The Eye series.

A mirror-universe version of Slugfest appeared in the Transformers: Timelines fiction. He is one of the heroic Decepticons. He likes Starscream. He appears nearly identical to Generation 1 Slugfest, but is red in color.
Fun Publications
Slugfest appeared in the fiction Dungeons & Dinobots, a text based story from Fun Publications. He was one of the many Dinobots created by Wheeljack, and later captured by Cliffjumper and Sideswipe and reprogrammed to be a Decepticon.[4]
In Do Over Starscream discovered that Slugfest and the other Dinocons had secretly been granted embers and the ability to transform by the Omega Terminus. He was among the crew of the Nemesis, which followed the Autobot's Ark to Earth. When the ship was damaged in battle with the Ark he escaped in a stasis pod to Earth.
