The Slaney Novice Hurdle is a Grade One National Hunt hurdle race in Ireland. It is run in January at Naas Racecourse, over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs. The race is often contested by horses who go on to compete at the Cheltenham Festival, such as the 2009 winner, Mikael d'Haguenet, who went on to win the Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle. It was formerly contested at Grade Two level and was upgraded from the 2015 running.[1] The race was run as the Lawlor's Hotel Novice Hurdle in 2015.
