Slade Griffin (born 17 January 1991) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer for the Melbourne Storm of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays hooker, centre and second-row.

Playing career

Born in Glen Innes, New South Wales, Griffin played his junior football for the Cobden-Kohinoor Keas before being signed by the Melbourne Storm. He played for the Storm's NYC team from 2009 to 2011, scoring 13 tries in 46 games,[1] before moving on to the Storm's New South Wales Cup team, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in 2012.

In Round 1 of the 2013 NRL season Griffin made his NRL debut for the Storm against the St. George Illawarra Dragons.[2]

In 2014 he received a two match suspension from the NRL after being found to have placed a bet on an NRL matches.[3]

Representative career

In 2007, Griffin played for the New Zealand Merit U18's team.

In 2008, Griffin played for the New South Wales U18's team.
