Skynyrd's First and...Last was the original name of the posthumous album first released in 1978 by the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The original 1978 version of the album is now out of print. In 1998, it was repackaged, renamed and re-released as Skynyrd's First: The Complete Muscle Shoals Album, which was expanded to included eight additional tracks -- four of which were previously unreleased and four which would appear on (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd). As the renamed title suggests, the album was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama. This album was originally planned to be their debut album before getting shelved, making (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) their actual debut. The album was certified Gold on 9/8/1978 and Platinum on 11/10/1978 by the RIAA.

The album contains early band recordings from 1971 and 1972. It is considered an essential album by most fans of the band, as the tracks are either not available on other albums, and later with the 1998 re-release, contains original versions of re-recorded songs that are on the other studio albums, which are now all on one album. However a few of these early tracks were later released on compilation albums such as Best of the Rest in 1982 (1990 on CD) and again on the German based Repertoire Records released Old Time Greats in 1997.
