Skyline School is a fully accredited public high school located two miles west of Pratt, Kansas, serving students in grades 9-12. The school is a part of Unified School District 438. Skyline High is one of two high schools serving the city of Pratt, KS. The school colors are columbia blue and white and the school mascot is the Thunderbird.

Skyline High School was founded in 1966 in order to help educate the growing population of Pratt, KS. Since its inception, the school has graduated nearly 1,000 students. Skyline High School is a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association and offers a variety of sports programs. Athletic teams compete in the 2A division and are known as the "Thunderbirds". Extracurricular activities are also offered in the form of performing arts, school publications, and clubs.

History

In the late 1960s, various rural communities and towns opted to combine their smaller schools into one, centralized school. The local communities included Byers, Coats, Cullison, Isabel, Sawyer, and Iuka. Students were bused in from these towns as well as the local neighboring farming communities.

Skyline has graduated nearly 1,000 students and is one of two high schools in Pratt County, Kansas, with Pratt High School being the first.
