C Ram Srikanth was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. He completed MBA from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and did MA in Telugu literature from Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad.

His interest for Telugu poetry started very early in his life at the age 11. He started writing poems with an abbreviated name C Ra Sri, that latter settled as 'Sira Sri', his pen name.

Career

As a Lyricist

He first wrote a jingle for the movie Nandanavanam 120 km and later in 2009 he started his career as lyricist in Telugu with the movie Sneha Geetam. In 2010 he wrote the title song 'Beja Beja Beja Beja Bejawada..' for Ram Gopal Varma's 'Bejawada' that was released online initially. The song has become most popular in short time and was also controversial for the word game in it.

Apart from movies he is well known with his private songs. He wrote the title song for 'Lakshagalarchana', a Guinness Record event that was held at Hyderabad by Siliconandhra in May 2009. His song "Rajasaaniki neevu nilayam" and "Nenekkadikee poledu" are listed to be the first elegies for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in September 2009. The songs telecasted on all Telugu TV channels during the procession and funeral of YSR and became the most famous private songs of the month.

He also penned the song 'Nee badi pilustondi..', as a title for a social initiative by ABN Andhra Jyothi Channel. He also wrote many social awareness songs in the composition of Dr Ghazal Srinivas.

He also writes songs in English. In 2005, he wrote an English song, "Like the Sun that turns the heads of Sun Flowers", on the pride of India, that was performed for the delegates from the Commonwealth of Nations in Hyderabad.

As an Author

He published his first anthology of metrical verses in Telugu at the age of 16 with the title Satakiranaalu that comprises 100 verses on social interest.

Inspired by the thoughts, opinions and philosophy of ace Indian director Ram Gopal Varma, Sirasri made his experiences with RGV into a book titled 'Vodka with Varma'. The book was released in Telugu version in December, 2012 and proved to be the best seller in short time.
