Sir Thomas Osborne, 5th Baronet
Sir Thomas Osborne, 5th Baronet of Tickenor, County Waterford (? - 10 October 1715) was an Irish baronet.
Biography
He was the eldest son of Nicholas Osborne of Cappagh, County Tyrone (? - from 18 April 1695 to 1696), Clerk of the Crown, and paternal grandson of Sir Richard Osborne, 2nd Baronet and wife Elizabeth (?). He succeeded in the baronetcy in October 1713.
He was High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1672 and was invested as a Knight in 1679.
Marriage and issue
Sir Thomas Osborne married firstly Katherine (?), and had one son:
- Nicholas Osborne (? - 25 December 1714), married c. 3 July 1684 Anne Parsons, daughter of Sir Laurence Parsons, 1st Baronet, of Birr Castle, and wife Frances Savage, and had two sons and three daughters:
- Sir Nicholas Osborne, 6th Baronet (? - 13 January 1718), succeeded in the baronetcy on 10 October 1715, married in 1709 Mary Smyth (? - 9 February 1762), daughter of The Rt. Rev. Thomas Smyth, and married secondly to Colonel John Ramsay, and had two daughters:
- Anne Osborne, married on 15 October 1733 Henry Vereker of Roxborough, County Limerick, son of Connel Vereker and wife Mary Godsell, and had issue
- Dorothy Osborne, married William Taylor of Moyallow
- Sir John Osborne, 7th Baronet (? - 11 April 1743)
- Frances Osborne, married John Jephson of Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary
- Arabella Osborne, married Robert Marshall, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in 1753
- Mary Osborne, married on 22 December 1716 William Moore (? - 18 March 1735)

Sir Thomas Osborne married secondly on 9 October 1703 his first cousin Anne Ussher, daughter of Beverley Ussher of Ballyfin, County Cork, and of Kilmeadon, County Waterford (c. 1618 - 1683), Lieutenant Colonel in the service of the Duke of Ormonde's Guards, and second wife Grace Osborne, who married secondly in August 1717 Francis Skiddy of Dublin, County Dublin, and had one daughter:
- Alice Osborne, married firstly Thomas Warter of Cullen, County Limerick, without issue, and married secondly Robert Blennerhassett, MP (1652 - 1712), and had issue
