Sir John Auld Mactaggart, 4th Baronet

Sir John Auld MacTaggart 4th bt (born 21 January 1960) is a Scottish businessman.

MacTaggart was educated at Shrewsbury School and Trinity College, Cambridge.[1]

He was made Chairman of Central Holdings in 1981, Chairman of Western Heritable Investment Co in 1987,[2] and Director of Scottish Power from 1988.[1]

He was married twice: firstly he married Patricia, youngest daughter of Harry Alastair Rawdon, son of the Earl Wavell. He married secondly, Caroline, youngest daughter of Eric Charles Williams of Esher. Their children are Jack Auld MacTaggart, born on 11 September 1993; Sholto Auld MacTaggart, born on 16 December 1996; Kinvara May MacTaggart, born in 1992.[1]

He is the older brother of Fiona Mactaggart MP, the Labour Party politician.[2]
